We are pleased to include your venue listing on our website, and we hope that you find working with us beneficial to your marketing strategy. As we continue to grow and evolve, we will be adding features to make the searchability and intuitiveness in sync with needs of our users, as well as ensuring you, the listing owner, get the most traffic to your page and your venue. Here you will find some helpful information to get you started.
Creating an Account
Prior to claiming your Listing, you must first create an account. Please use the Sign In / Register button on the Top Right corner of our Home Page to do this. This procedure will be the same for listing owners and users, and we recommend inviting your employees to create their own user account.
Finding and Claiming Your Listing
Once you have created an account and signed in, use the search bar in the center of the home screen to find your venue. Once there, use the “Claim Now” link, which is below your basic information. This will open a data box where you will be asked for your name, phone number, and the claim code you were given by one of our team members. Our team will review the claim request and approve it within 48 hours. If you lost or forgot your claim code, use the contact link at the bottom of the home page to let us know.
Update your Listing
Once your claim is approved, login to your account and go to your “Dashboard,” which can be found under your username on the main menu. The Dashboard will be the go-to place for everything from editing your listing, to reviewing analytics, to upgrading your plan. On your Dashboard, you will see a menu to the left. Go to “My Listings” and click on “Published” to bring up your listing. From there, you can click the “Edit” button, to edit the listing, or the “Change Plan” button to upgrade to Premium (more on that below). Clicking “Edit” will allow you to personalize your page by adding a business tagline, description, searchable features, and a photo carousel, to name a few. Please note that, while you may fill out all the fields you like, not everything will show on your Listing Page with the Basic (Free) plan. Which brings us to…
Upgrade a Free Listing to a Premium or Ultra-Premium Listing
Venues will start off with a Basic (Free) Listing. This will have the basic information our users will need to find you, and you may continue using this plan as long as you like at NO COST. But to really make an impact, you may want to consider upgrading to a PREMIUM LISTING, and unlock the sites full potential. A cost breakdown and list of what each plan offers can be found in the “Pricing Plans” link on the bottom of our home page. Upgraded plans come with a whole arsenal of additional content, such as an image gallery, social media links, searchable features, business hours, price ranges, and venue specific FAQ’s. We will even send you free NOLA Beer.com swag! Please note the Blue Checks and Red X’s listed with each of the plans, as plans will only come with the features that have a Blue Check .
If you want to upgrade to a different plan, simply login to your dashboard and navigate to your listing as stated above. Click the “Change Plan” button, then “Proceed.” Select the desired plan, click “Change,” then “Pay and Proceed.” You will be prompted to select your listing, payment, and if you would like the upgrade to be recurring. If you desire to keep it going beyond 30 days, check the box for “Recurring Payment” to setup a monthly subscription. Following setup, you will find a new menu item in your dashboard titled “Subscriptions,” which is where you will manage it from. Once you upgrade your listing to the premium, it will show as “Pending.” Not to worry. All listing changes must be reviewed by NOLA Beer.com staff, but you can continue to edit. Once reviewed, we will re-publish your listing.
Promoting your venue and maximizing exposure
Running Ads, replying to User Reviews, and creating events for your venue are great ways to increase exposure. This is particularly helpful if you have an event you would like to promote, or you want to create a call to action. Your Dashboard will be your go-to place as a listing owner to get these things done. You can find additional guidance and have many of your questions answered in our FAQ section, under the “Business Owner / Directory Listing FAQ’s” section.
